The Coat
of Arms of
the Austrio-Hungarian period has in
the azure field the eradicated oak-tree and a dove with a gules beak perched on
the oak. Beside it you see an axe with a blown handle soaring in the air.
Short Description/History
The first mention of the
town dates back to 1570 in the Rroyal Decree to Mikolaj Tarl giving him a right to establish a town.
