Slonim currently is the centre of the Slonim district, Grodno region, situated at the confluence of the Scara and Isa rivers, 143 km south-east of Grodno, it is a station on the railway line running between Baranowicze-Vaukavysk, a highway junction.Before the Second World War it was part of the Nowogrodek District.
